Care and health for older people

With increasing age, the likelihood of needing nursing care and other forms of support increases. If your own income is not sufficient to pay for the necessary assistance, you can seek help from the social services department, adult social services.

What do we do?

We are commissioned by the Adult Social Services to determine the extent of the care support required.

• We assess how much care someone needs. This is the care level.
• We look at what nursing care is needed.
• The results are sent to the Adult Social Services Department, which then organises the assistance.

Who can use our services?

Important note:
The Health Department is only legally permitted to take action if the Social Services Office issues a corresponding order. Please always contact the Social Services Office, Adult Social Services, first. Adult Social Services will take care of everything else.
