All persons who work with unpackaged food generally require a health certificate. These include, for example:

• People who produce unpackaged food and come into contact with the food
• People who sell unpackaged food and come into contact with it
• People who handle consumer goods (e.g. cutlery, crockery and containers) that come into contact with food
• People who clean consumer goods used for handling food (e.g. cutlery, crockery and containers)
• All people who clean in kitchens need this certificate.

Nursing staff do not need instruction from the health authority because they learn the necessary knowledge during their training. However, the employer must repeat the rules regularly.

Pupils do not need to pay for training for a school internship in the food sector. Pupils receive free training from school staff before the internship.
